Ask and you shall receive

Spring is here, which is a time of hope as the weather warms up and things start to grow again. This is also the time when we are anticipating Easter, time with family, and the Feast of the Resurrection. For many of us in the church, we are also in the middle of Lent, which is a time of prayerful reflection on the reality of suffering in the world. Lent reminds us that there is no celebration on Easter Sunday without the suffering of Jesus on Good Friday. So we live in tension between acknowledging suffering, but also living in the hope that something better is coming. For people and groups like AIM who work to build bridges of community between the nations, we pray for healing among the nations and for them to come and worship Jesus who is the King of the nations.

All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and
all the families of the nations shall worship before you." Psalm 22:27

As part of this initiative, AIM will be hosting monthly prayer gatherings. On Saturday, April 11th at 7pm, Hope Lutheran, Austin (6414 N Hampton Dr) will be hosting the first AIM Prayer Gathering. We invite you to join other AIM partners in praying for the nations who are coming to the Austin area and pray for the new faith communities being developed. If you would be interested in hosting a future prayer gathering, contact AIM Director Chris Holder.
